    Ticket to Work Program

The purpose of Ticket to Work is to make available training, job referrals, and other support and services to help you obtain employment.

LaptopThe Ticket to Work Program is a work incentive that is for eligible people who are between the ages of 18 and 65 and who receive Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits for a disability. The purpose of Ticket to Work is to make available training, job referrals, and other support and services to help you obtain employment.

SuccessThe Ticket to Work Program allows you to look into your work options without losing your disability benefits. The Social Security Administration will issue you a ticket and you can choose to assign that ticket to an Employment Network of your choice. If the Employment Network accepts the ticket, they will help you find and maintain employment.

The Social Security Administration wants to encourage you to try and work if you can. If you used the Ticket to Work Program to find work and you discover that it isn’t working and you need to stop working, you can easily return to benefits.

You can also continue to receive health care benefits while participating in the Ticket to Work Program.
